Courtney Brown is a freelance photographer living in Japan. Originally from Indiana, she received a bachelor of arts from Indiana University in Digital Media. She lived in Japan for three years and while there she earned an honorable mention at the 2005 Harajuku/Shibuya Yosakoi dance festival. In 2007 she moved to New York City and helped run the independent Japanese street fashion magazine La Vie en Rose as the art director. She has photographed such artists as SUGIZO and Juno Reactor. Her work has appeared in La Vie en Rose as well as Five For magazine. In 2012 she returned to Japan and currently lives in the smallest village in Hokkaido.
